Indian Wells

Indian Wells, as it is known today, was once home to a flourishing Native American village in the early 19th century. The area served as a vital water source for local tribes, with the largest spring located near the current City Hall. In the following decade, settlers traveling the Bradshaw Trail from Colorado to the gold mines began arriving, making Indian Wells a key stop along the route. By 1910, the area was evolving into a residential community. Today, Indian Wells is renowned for hosting the prestigious Indian Wells Masters, one of the nine tournaments in the World Masters Tour, held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, which boasts the second-largest tennis stadium in the world. The city is also recognized for having one of the highest average incomes in the U.S.

Key attractions in Indian Wells include the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Indian Wells Golf Resort, Eisenhower Walk of Honor, Desert Horizons Country Club, Eldorado Country Club, Toscana Country Club, and Eisenhower Mountain.
