Desert Hot Springs

Desert Hot Springs has seen significant growth and appreciation in recent years. Originally referred to as “The Seven Sisters” due to the seven natural springs in the area, the region features super-heated, sulfur-free water that emerges from an underground aquifer at temperatures reaching up to 180°F, just east of the Andreas Fault. Visitors can explore a unique variety of independently-owned boutique hotels, each offering the chance to experience the healing properties of the hot springs. The pools at these establishments are filled with curative spring waters, believed to enhance health, alleviate pain, and boost metabolism.

In addition to its hot springs, Desert Hot Springs is home to several popular attractions, including Cabot’s Pueblo Museum. Situated at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains, near the Mission Creek Preserve, this area boasts protected wetlands, a perennial stream, and native flora, making it a favored destination for hiking enthusiasts.
